The Belgrade Prosecutor’s Office Special Cybercrime Department has requested permission to collect data related to a video statement by Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic which was forged via artificial intelligence and released on the Internet, it was announced on July 4.
The video was published on the Facebook social network by a user named Corvus01.
The press release added that the Department’s request included asking Meta Platforms, which owns and operates Facebook, to remove Corvus01’s profile – after collecting information on its owner and usage.
