William Burns, the head of the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), will be meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti on Aug. 23.
Burns previously sat down with his Kosovo counterpart, Petrit Ajeti, and President Vjosa Osmani on Aug. 22, while certain media have reported he met with Kosovo Police top management as well.
None of the abovementioned officials have released statements regarding their talks.
The CIA chief’s stay in Kosovo comes in the wake of similar visits to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
The former U.S. ambassador to Russia, Burns is also a current member of the White House Cabinet and as such plays an important role in President Joe Biden’s administration.
