Presidency of the Freedom and Justice Party, the second largest party represented in the Serbian Parliament, on Oct. 22 demanded from state public broadcaster RTS to meet the minimum of its legal obligations and ensure party leader Dragan Djilas was a guest in its program as soon as possible.
In a statement, the party said that it had not been enough for Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to have RTS broadcast live all of his addresses, news conferences and several-hour long talks with citizens, but he had also decided to be a guest in an evening program on RTS.
“On the other hand, Dragan Djilas, the leader of the second largest party in the Serbian Parliament, has not been a guest in any RTS program for 18 months now, except during the election campaign,” it is said in the statement.
The party also said that with such conduct, RTS General Manager Dragan Bujosevic and Editor-in-Chief Nenad Lj. Stefanovic had been continuously breaching the Public service broadcasting Law and the Law on public information and media.
