On Nov. 7, the Serbian Cabinet will be adopting the proposed state budget for 2025, which Finance Minister Sinisa Mali has said is aimed at improving the public’s living standard.
Mali explained that the financial plan envisions the construction of nine freeways, as well as high-speed highways, the specialized 2027 Expo, the National Stadium and the Vojvodina Clinical Center, and added that the budget is Serbia’s first since the country received an investment-grade credit rating.
Next year, the minister said, 7.4 percent of the gross domestic product will be channeled into capital investments.
He also stated that Serbia’s projected inflation in 2025 is between three and three-and-a-half percent, which is significantly lower than the planned increase in wages and pensions.
