In an open letter published on Nov. 14, Freedom and Justice Party vice-president Marinika Tepic labeled Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s promises to crack down on crime “playacting” since, she says, his regime regularly colludes with criminals.
The letter asks Vucic how Goran ‘Goranac’ Kovacevic – whom the president mentioned in his speech on crime, delivered in the wake of Novi Sad tragedy – became a murderer, drug addict and drug dealer “overnight,” when “only yesterday” he participated in buying votes for the Serbian Progressive Party.
If Kovacevic is indeed a killer, then why is he not behind bars and whom has he killed, Tepic further asked the president.
According to Tepic, there is proof Kovacevic visited the Progressives’ Novi Sad headquarters on multiple occasions as well as of his close relationship with the president’s brother, Andrej Vucic.Opposition Politician Accuses Regime of Colluding with Criminals
