After meeting his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade on Nov. 19, the president of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, described the talks as constructive, adding they had agreed to expand bilateral economic relations, develop deeper integration and further build bilateral relations.
The meeting particularly focused around the industry, mining and healthcare, Tokayev told a news conference.
He also said that Kazakhstan wished to further develop bilateral trade and strengthen relations between the two countries’ peoples. The two presidents agreed further cooperation and exchange of know-how in the fields of energy, defense, education, and agriculture.
In the presence of Presidents Tokayev and Vucic, the two countries’ representatives signed a total of 10 agreements and memoranda.
They include memoranda relating to cooperation between ministries of education, ministries of labor and social affairs in the tourism sector, cooperation in research and the peaceful use of outer space, collaboration between national libraries, and partnership between the Institute of International Politics and Economics and Kazakhstan’s Strategic Research Institute. A protocol on cooperation on exchange of statistical data was also signed.
