Dragana Rakic (BETAPHOTO/BRANISLAV BOZIC)
Contrary to President Aleksandar Vucic claims, which are aimed at deceiving the public, there is no color revolution taking place in Serbia, Democratic Party MP Dragana Rakic said on Feb. 10.
Speaking for the Danas daily, the MP stated that Vucic desires a snap election but that the opposition will not accept such a solution under the current circumstances.
“To [Vucic’s] dismay, there will be no more rigged elections in Serbia. Resignations and jail time, as the university students and rebelling public say, [need to come first]. Only then can elections be discussed, but not rigged ones,” Rakic said.
President Vucic announced on Feb. 8 that he has set St. Vitus Day – a holiday of great significance in Serbian culture – as the deadline for publishing a book on how he “defeated the color revolution in Serbia.”
