President of the opposition People's Party Vladimir Gajic said on March 5 that through its actions in the Serbian parliament on March 4, the opposition had caused damage both to itself and to the student protests, adding that "it seems like the whole thing was done out of desperation."

"Damage has been caused to the student protests by an attempt to bring attention back to the pro-Western opposition, which has been completely sidelined, and this is a contribution to the political suicide of the parliamentary opposition, which is already in a bad state and which the student and people's protests are negating, just as they are negating the entire political establishment," Gajic told Kurir TV.

Gajic also said that the "chaos in the parliament does not suit the opposition or the student protests, and least of all the Serbian Progressive Party," adding that it was unbelievable that serious people were taking such action.
