Speaking at a rally in Belgrade on April 12 dubbed, We Will Not Give Up Serbia, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic named five demands from institutions but "to a small extent" from himself and called for order and peace to be established in the country, going on to say that he would not give up until all of his demands were met.

Reading the demands "on behalf of those assembled," Vucic said that he demanded that the responsible bodies and institutions of Serbia, above all the responsible prosecutor's offices, mount the appropriate proceedings and take all other legal measures, in line with their constitutional and legal authority, to establish peace and order in the country. As the first demand, Vucic said the participants of the We Will Not Give Up Serbia rally wanted the law and constitution to be followed in full, the security of Serbia and its citizens to be ensured and "the institutions that have been hijacked to be returned to the citizens as the exponents of the people's sovereignty," including the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation, which he described as "one of the key participants in the color revolution."

Vucic's second demand is establishing the accountability of all persons who took part in the "vandal attacks on citizens during their peaceful rallies in Serbia, especially the identification and punishment of the perpetrators, inciters and abettors of the savage attacks on peacefully assembled citizens in Nis on March 21." Vucic said his third demand was that every student be allowed to pursue their education should they want to.

Vucic's fourth demand is the identification of the perpetrators, inciters and abettors in what he described as "attacks on vital state institutions and structures, and to prevent such actions in the future." Vucic's fifth demand is the prevention of any activity that "autocratically and illegally paralyzises economic activity and prevents citizens from going about their daily activities in line with public order, so that everyone can count on the state protecting their vital interests in a democratic society."
