The Nova Ekonomija monthly has reported that the companies from Serbia denounced by Moscow for allegedly exporting munitions to Ukraine have been earning hundreds of millions of euros and – according to an incomplete list published by Russia’s foreign intelligence service (SVR) – include both large state-owned firms and privately-owned companies affiliated with the ruling Serbian Progressive Party.
Aside from “other,” unnamed, businesses, the SVR accused Yugoimport SDPR J.P., Zenitprom Ltd., the Krusik Holding Corporation, Sofag Ltd., Reyer DTI Ltd., Sloboda Ltd. and Prvi Partizan of supplying Ukraine with weapons and ammunition.
While some of the above are large, state-owned weapons producers, others are registered as merchant or consultant firms.
“These anti-Russian activities have been concealed via a simple scheme using false certificates from end-users and transit countries, usually NATO members – primarily the Czech Republic, Poland and Bulgaria. Lately, exotic options from the African continent have also been employed,” claims a statement issued by the SVR which caused an uproar in Serbia, Nova Ekonomija reported on its website.
