The company EXPO 2027 confirmed information on July 24 that there would be changes in its management, but solely due to the reorganization of the company, because the project of organizing the international specialized EXPO exhibition was entering a new phase of development and realization.

The media in Belgrade reported on July 24 that the current director of EXPO 2027, Dusan Borovcanin, would be succeeded by Danilo Jerinic. “The EXPO 2027 company is reaching a new point of development and changing strategic focus in order to continue to work adequately, which is in accordance with the set plans and experiences from other exhibitions. Moving from the field of international positioning of the host and laying down of strategic plans, the company is entering the phase of active realization and operational work on the exhibition itself,” it was stated in the company’s announcement.

It was added that the company would perform a rotation and changes in the leading positions. Borovcanin, who was one of the key figures in the process of wining the candidacy and is an expert in the field of congress tourism and strategic tourism planning in the country, will move to the position of advisor to future director Jerinic, who is currently the director of the operations sector at EXPO 2027.

“In the previous period, Jerinic established the sector of operations and successfully laid the foundations in the design of the exhibition, the process of construction, operative management of the space, environment protection, transport and logistics and the event management system. Since the plan is for the participants to be handed the keys to their pavilions in autumn next year, these very fields will be crucially important for the company and the accomplishing of goals,” the statement reads.
