What is happening in Republika Srpska and Kosovo and Metohija these days, as well as with regard to the marking of the 30th anniversary of Croatian army and police operation Storm is an attempt to turn around and revise history, especially events from the 1990s, Director of the Serbian Government Commission for Missing Persons Veljko Odalovic said on Aug. 8.
"They are trying to create the impression that more than 500,000 expelled Serbs from Croatia and from the territory of Kosovo and Metohija is something that is legitimate. That thousands upon thousands of murdered Serbs were legitimate targets, that those who committed crimes against civilians and innocent people are ones who should be presented as national heroes. They are criminals" who should have answered for their crimes, Odalovic told Prva TV.
In his words, the ad hoc tribunal in The Hague which said it would bring justice and reconciliation did not bring either justice or reconciliation.
