Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric spoke in New York on Sept. 24 with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto about current regional and global events.
On the sidelines of a U.N. General Assembly session in New York, they discussed cooperation in transport infrastructure and shared projects in the natural gas and petroleum industry, agreeing that the economic ties between the two countries were developing dynamically. According to a press release issued by his office, Djuric stressed that cooperation in the near future should focus on strengthening energy security and improving infrastructural connections.
One of the subjects of the meeting was the next, third meeting of the Serbia-Hungary Strategic Cooperation Council, to be held in Belgrade by the end of the year, which according to the two officials is an important factor in elevating overall relations, the press release read, adding that Djuric had other bilateral encounters while in New York.
