The Serbian speaker, Ana Brnabic, has called regular local elections for councilors in nine local self-government units for March 29.
Speaking at Feb. 23 press conference hosted by the Parliament of Serbia, Brnabic announced new elections in Bor, Arandjelovac, Bajina Basta, Knjazevac, Kladovo, Kula, Lucani, Majdanpek and Smederevska Palanka.
"I hope and appeal to everyone that these elections take place in a democratic atmosphere. I wish all participants success, and may the best candidates with the best plans and programs for all citizens win," Brnabic said.
Previous local elections in these local government units were held on April 3, 2022.
