At a March 21 Serbian Progressive Party rally, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic called on his followers to achieve a landslide victory in upcoming local elections in all ten local administration units.

"Let's beat them more convincingly than ever, let's beat them fairly [...]," said Vucic in the Belgrade Arena. He urged everyone to vote in the March 29 local elections and to arrange implementing the Serbia 2035 plan afterwards. Vucic, who is formally only a member of the Progressive Party, sent his regards to coalition partner Ivica Dacic, leader of the Socialist Party of Serbia, who addressed the assembly via video link due to illness.

Dacic said he expected an electoral victory for the joint ticket in the March 29 elections, to be held in ten towns and municipalities. "There is one thing here -- I did manage to survive. I didn't die. Serbia, too, has stared judgment day and death in the face multiple times in its history and always prevailed. It will prevail this time too. Let's go together, the divisions being launched by the other side are a huge infectious disease affecting Serbia's tissues," Dacic said.

The Serbian Interior Ministry said in a press release that 70,000 people were present at the rally and around the Belgrade Arena. According to the statement, there were 32,000 people inside the venue, while another 38,000 assembled in the immediate vicinity, along with around 2,000 motorcyclists.
