Vucic Meets with Representatives of a number of Chinese Companies in Beijing

On May 26, the third day of his visit to China. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with representatives of a number of Chinese companies, discussing Serbia's urban development projects and future investments.

On Instagram, Vucic has posted that he met with representatives of steel company HBIS, Bank of China, the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), and flying car company ARIDGE.

“With representatives of HBIS and one of the largest banks in the world, Bank of China, (we discussed) projects that have contributed to Serbia’s strong and accelerated development in the past years, as well as Serbia’s major investment plans for the future, which could also engage them. Also, with representatives of the China National Nuclear Corporation, I discussed more concrete steps for future cooperation, bearing in mind that CNNC is among the key potential partners of our country in the important and strategic process of nuclear energy development,” he said in the post.

In a meeting with ARIDGE, Vucic, according to the post, presented “Serbia’s potential to be among the first European countries to present and apply advanced technology behind flying cars, particularly in the context of EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, which will elevate Serbia’s development to a completely new level.” 

The Serbian president also met with Chen Bo, president of the China Institute of International Studies and the former Chinese ambassador to Belgrade, to discuss future bilateral cooperation and connecting the economies and institutions of the two countries.

Vucic also visited the Tsinghua University, where he gave a lecture, the Museum of the Communist Party of China and technology company Xiaomi.
