At a central event marking Day of Remembrance for all Serbs killed or expelled in Croatian Operation Storm, held in the Republika Srpska town of Mrkonjic Grad late on Aug. 4, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that preserving peace and stability is what is currently most important for Serbia which, as he pointed out, has never been stronger.

"We are growing faster in the economic and every other sense, including the military [one], although we hope we will not need that. Time is also on the side of others, who are waiting for the second half of the game. Time, peace and security are on our side," stressed Vucic.

He went on to say that Serbs must be disciplined and maintain a minimum of national unity, regardless of all the ideological and political differences, underscoring that polycentricity is fatal for both the Serbs and the Serbian Orthodox Church.

"We must know what our vital national interests are... With us Serbs we have two groups of people who work against the Serbian national interests - ones who are always against the Serbs because they work for someone else. Far more dangerous are the other ones, [so-called] parlour nationalists, who speak of polycentric Serbhood, who oppose Belgrade to Banjaluka, Novi Sad to Belgrade..., that is a dissolution of Serbia and Serbhood. We will not let you do that," said Vucic.

In his words, a new generation of Serbs has been born, which is not ashamed to speak the truth, is ready to endure all insults and lies, but does not forget the Serbian victims.

Saying that he was giving the last speech as Serbian president, Vucic asked - has any Croatian official from Zagreb ever laid a flower in places of Serbian suffering in Croatia?
