President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko Cadez will on Jan. 12 hand Croatian Ambassador to Belgrade Hidajet Biscevic the decision on a EUR50,000 donation from the Chamber to the Croatian population living in the area hit by the recent earthquake.

A solidarity gathering will take place simultaneously in Belgrade and Zagreb, in front of the identical sculptures called Ribar (Fisherman) by sculptor Simeon Roksandic, located in Belgrade's Kalemegdan park and in Jesuit Square in Zagreb's old Upper Town, said a Jan. 11 press release.

Besides representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and the Croatian Embassy, the event in Belgrade will also be attended by the executive director of the Serbian Philanthropic Forum, Veran Matic, while representatives of the Serb National Council and the Serbian Embassy in Croatia will take part in the event in Zagreb.
