Avax Joins Stonska Bypass Construction Project

Hrvatske Ceste announced on Dec. 5 that the Greek Avax construction company had been introduced into the job of building the Ston bypass, which is important for connecting southern Dalmacija with the rest of the country, while the Peljesac Bridge is a key structure for this. 

After the Strabag consortium in mid-November, according to SeeBiz, the Greek Avax S.A. joined the job of building the Ston bypass road. and this will be one the hardest construction feats ever preformed by Hrvatske Ceste, a statement said. 

Avax will build the Ston bypass road i.e. the Sparagovici/Zaradeze – Prapratno and Prapratno – Doli subsection, which is 18 kilometers-long and costs HRK511.5m, without VAT. The Strabag AG and Strabag d.o.o. consortium was introduced into the job of building the Duboka – Sparagovici/Zaradeze section, i.e. an access road to the existing road on the land side and the Peljesac side worth HRK478.3m without VAT, with a 33-month deadline.
