Japanese companies are highly interested in investing in Serbia and with the growing capabilities of innovative Serbian firms and the excellent political relations between the two countries, Serbia’s economy faces new investment opportunities, Serbian Chamber of Commerce president Marko Cadez said on Sept. 17.

According to the Chamber, Cadez specified that these potential investments primarily pertain to e-mobility, microelectronics, information technologies and the food industry.

“Serbia is currently one of the most interesting destinations for Japanese companies, especially those from the production sector. This is evident from all the talks we’ve had with the representatives of leading companies and economic associations during our stay in Tokyo and Japan,” said Cadez, who visited Japan as a member of Serbia’s delegation of state officials and economic experts.
