EXPO 2027 (BETAPHOTO/MILAN ILIC)
A contract on the Czech Republic's participation in the Expo 2027 Belgrade specialized international exhibition was signed on June 12, it was announced in the Serbian capital, while the signing marks the official beginning of preparations by the country for its exhibit alongside other countries and international organizations from across the world.
Jagoda Lazarevic, Serbian minister of internal and foreign trade and Expo 2027 commissioner, Danilo Jerinic, director of the EXPO 2027 company, and Krystof Safer, Czech Expo 2027 section commissioner signed the document.
Lazarevic said the Czech Republic is one of Serbia's key partners in trade, with a volume of around EUR2.5 billion, and an important export market for the Serbian economy. Safer stressed the importance of hard work and constant education, which, he said, lead "to the stars," noting that in 2027 an astronaut from his country will be stationed on the International Space Station.
