Average Wage in Slovenia EUR1,122

The average net wage in Slovenia in October 2019 was EUR1,122 which is a nominal increase of 1.6% and 1.5% in real terms relative to the previous month. 

On the annual level the average net wage in October grew by 3.3% nominally, the Slovenian STA news service has reported.

The latest information released by the State Bureau for Statistics shows that the average gross wage for the aforementioned month edged up 1.7% nominally and 1.6% in real terms to EUR1,742 relative to September and by 3.9% compared with October 2018. 

The average net wage in the private sector was 2.3% higher than in September and 0.4% higher in the public sector. The highest average monthly wage equaling EUR1,593 was paid in the industry for suppling electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning while the lowest average wage was in the administrative and assistant services sector – EUR814. 

Monthly wages also grew the most in agriculture, forestry and fishing where they increased by 5.5% while wages declined the most for employees in public administration and defense and mandatory social insurance which shed 0.8%.
