An early parliamentary vote will take place in Serbia on Dec. 17, 2023. It will be the fourth early parliamentary polls since the Serbian Progressive Party took over in 2012. The frequency of early elections has put Serbia among the top three among the 46 member states of the Council of Europe, together with Bulgaria and Greece. Yet there is an important difference between Serbia and the other states that frequently go to the polls.
