There are few days in Serbia’s recent history that are as important as July 19, 2024, when a summit on critical raw materials gathered representatives of Aleksandar Vucic’s regime, Germany and the EU in Belgrade. Although the meeting is still too close to assess its consequences and draw final conclusions, for many reasons July 19 can be considered a watershed moment of sorts in the modern history of Serbia.
