The ruling coalition in Serbia, spearheaded by the Serbian Progressive Party, won the absolute majority in most of the 89 municipalities and cities where local elections were held on June 2, while the outcome is still uncertain in five local self-government units. That coalition, led by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, won the absolute majority in the country's two biggest cities, Belgrade and Novi Sad, where it will be able to form governments independently. However, Savo Manojlovic's Get Going for Change movement, which ended up in second place in Belgrade, and Dr. Dragan Milic's ticket, which scored an excellent result in Nis, can be considered the biggest winners in these elections.
