The results of last year's census in Montenegro, published last week, revealed, among other things, an increase in the number of citizens regarding themselves Serbs, whereas fewer declared themselves Montenegrins. In addition, most of the citizens said they were using the Serbian language, which has prompted Serb representatives to raise the issue of changing its official status. The results were also welcomed by Serbia’s top government officials.
