The protests sparked by the collapse of the Novi Sad railway station concrete canopy have proved to be very potent and have managed to unsettle the authorities in a way unimaginable until now. They are the biggest challenge facing the Serbian Progressive Party since its coming to power, even though the protests themselves are faced with considerable challenges. Regardless of their duration and the authorities’ inability to put them under control, it is still unclear what the outcome of the protests could be.
