While Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic keeps the public guessing about the date of a snap general election, the regime and its opponents are waging a mini war of sorts in the streets – primarily through graffiti and stickers. The ostensibly benign campaign of handing out and putting up stickers with the slogan “The students will win” has had a strong and broad effect: it has sparked a fierce response from the Vucic regime under the slogan “Serbia will win,” whereby the regime has once again put an equals sign between itself and the state.
