Serbia:Dialogue of Frowning Faces

The authorities and the opposition in Serbia will continue, with the European Parliament’s mediation, their dialogue on changing election conditions, but neither side expects the process to have much reach, which testifies to the still great polarization on the Serbian political scene. Mutual distrust between the two opposed blocs remains strong, which increases the importance of European Parliament mediators for the success of the talks.
