Despite the existence of a clear parliamentary majority, Serbia has been waiting for a new government for six and a half months now, which is being interpreted in various ways. The process of electing a new cabinet has finally begun as a debate has kicked off in parliament on the Bill of amendments to the Law on Ministries, submitted by 148 MPs. The legal deadline for the election of the new government is Oct. 30, and if it is not formed by then, a new election will be called.
