The dispute between Belgrade and Pristina regarding the mandatory re-registration of vehicles with Serbian license plates in Kosovo has once again considerably increased tensions in relations between the two sides. The day after the deadline the Pristina authorities had set for the completion of the process, Nov. 1, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic ordered the raising of the Serbian Armed Forces’ combat readiness and putting the army on high alert due to the situation in Kosovo.
