Serbia’s ruling bloc, spearheaded by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, is ramping up pressure on the opposition parties which have announced an election boycott; Washington and Brussels are firmly against the boycott and are calling on the opposition to abandon the idea, while the opposition keeps repeating that there are no elementary conditions in place for democratic and fair elections and is not showing readiness to change its decision. This is what the positions of all the key actors look like just over three months ahead of a regular general election which will most likely take place this coming April.
