Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic has for more than a year now been out of favor with President Aleksandar Vucic, who used to put great trust in him. He has once again been targeted over the last few days, as former state secretary of the Interior Ministry Dijana Hrkalovic has made serious accusations against him. It currently looks like in the showdown with Stefanovic Vucic will not “go all the way,” rather that the attacks are primarily meant to weaken Stefanovic’s position ahead of the forming of a new Serbian government.
