A six-member team of Chinese medical experts has found the preparedness of the Military Medical Center Karaburma in Belgrade to be "very good," the Serbian Ministry of Defense stated on April 3. The Ministry added that the medical center was equipped in line with all the standards for treating medium to most severe coronavirus cases.

One of the Chinese experts, Lin Bingliang, said that people in Serbia "are making an extreme effort and working hard" to protect themselves properly and deal with the coronavirus.

"This system of protecting and treating patients is getting better and better. During a conversation with our colleagues, we conveyed our experiences and the lessons we learned in China in the process of treating patients. Our proposals and instructions have been applied in this hospital, so we believe that everything has been done really well," the statement quoted Lin as saying.

At the Military Medical Center Karaburma, he added, special attention was paid to important details, because when members of the medical staff finish work and take off their protective gear, they can see in the installed mirrors whether they are doing that in the right way, reads the statement.

According to the latest report on April 2, there are 1,171 coronavirus cases in Serbia, with 31 deaths.
