French President Emmanuel Macron will meet separately with Kosovo Premier Avdullah Hoti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic ahead of a virtual Kosovo-Serbia summit on July 10.

Macron met with Hoti on July 7. After the meeting Hoti said that "France remains committed to supporting Kosovo in the process of dialog with Serbia which is supposed to lead to mutual recognition and the normalization of relations.'

As part of preparations for the summit, France's president will meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on July 9, the French Embassy in Belgrade announced on its website.

Based on an initiative from Macron, the video summit will be held to revive dialog between Serbia and Kosovo, which stopped 18 months ago, and also so that the EU can mediate and facilitate the search for a solution.

Macron will participate in the July 10 summit along with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, President Vucic, Premier Hoti, EU high representative for foreign policy and security Josep Borrel  and EU special envoy for the talks Miroslav Lajcak. Vucic and Hoti will then meeting in Brussels on July 12 which will signify the continuation of dialog between Serbia and Kosovo under the EU's auspices.
