Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on June 14 accused the Pristina delegation and Kosovo Premier Albin Kurti of having attempted to stop the dialogue.

“He (Kurti) came with the intention not to agree anything. He told me: ‘I came to ask you when you will recognize Kosovo’s independence.’ I answered: “Never!’ Then he exploded…,” Vucic told reporters in Brussels.

Vucic again stressed that Belgrade would never halt the dialogue, but added that what he had seen in Brussels on June 15 he perceived as an attempt to stop the dialogue. Vucic further said he was not happy with the content of the meeting, explaining it appeared to him that the Pristina delegation had arrived in Brussels to provoke a heated response of Belgrade and possibly push it into abandoning the talks.

The Serbian president also said that the EU representatives who were present were fair and that it was clear to them what had happened. Vucic specified that Belgrade had insisted on the fulfillment of what had already been agreed before talks could move on to other issues, adding that he had clearly expressed readiness to continue search for the missing persons.
