Serbia Proposes New Projects For Financing From Western Balkans Investment Framework

The Serbian minister for European integration and national IPA coordinator, Jadranka Joksimovic, has proposed, on the behalf of the Serbian government, seven projects to be financed by investment grants, adding up to a total of EUR785.5 million.

Of the total value of the projects, EUR241.3 million is intended for financing through donations, the Ministry for European Integration announced on Aug. 4. The Managing Board of the Western Balkans Investment Framework is expected to bring the official decision about supporting the Serbian government's proposals is December.

Minister Joksimovic said that the most important goal of the projects, which were proposed within the sixth extended round of the Western Balkans Investment Framework, was a more equal regional development of Serbia, creation of new jobs and accomplishing the goals of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, for which Serbia has assumed the obligation together with the EU.
