COVID-19 Claims 38 Lives in Serbia, 6,424 Newly Infected

In the past 24 hours, 6,424 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Serbia out of 20,584 persons tested, while 38 people died of the disease.

The Ministry of Health announced on Sept. 20 that 4,642 people were currently hospitalized with COVID-19, 181 of whom were on ventilators.

A total of 872,110 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Serbia since the beginning of the epidemic, while 7,808 people have died of the disease according to official records.

A shipment of vaccines against COVID-19 made by Pfizer-BioNTech containing 100,650 doses arrived in Serbia on Sept. 20. According to the Serbian government website, the vaccines were delivered to the Belgrade Torlak Institute of Virology, Vaccines and Sera.
