On April 4, the Serbian State Electoral Commission announced the preliminary results of the April 3 parliamentary elections based on 87.76 percent of ballots counted. According to the same sample, election turnout was 58.49 percent.

The Commission’s website stated that the majority of votes were won by the Serbian Progressive Party – 43.45 percent – which would translate to 122 seats in Parliament.

Furthermore, 13.07 percent of votes (36 mandates) have so far been garnered by the United for the Victory of Serbia coalition, 11.68 percent (32 seats) by the coalition led by the Socialist Party of Serbia, and 5.27 percent (14 seats) by the NADA coalition.

The electoral threshold was also passed by the We Must coalition (4.34 percent of votes i.e. 12 mandates), the Patriotic Bloc (3.85 percent, 10 mandates) and the Oath Keepers (3.76 percent, 10 seats). The minority parties with seats in the future Assembly comprise the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (six seats), the Mufti’s Legacy (three mandates), Together for Vojvodina and the Sandzak Democratic Action Party each with two seats, the Coalition of Albanians with one seat.

The threshold was not passed by the Sovereigntists coalition (2.25 percent of votes), the Serbian Radical Party (2.17 percent), the Let’s Go, People coalition (1.65) and the Stolen Babies (0.81).

According to the Commission’s preliminary count, three minority parties, too, failed to meet the threshold: the Alternative for Changes, the Roma Party and Russian Minority Alliance.
