On Sept. 7, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Belgrade, where he will be meeting with his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vucic, and other Serbian officials as well as opening the Serbian-Turkish Economic Forum.

It is also expected that several agreements on cooperation will be signed.

Erdogan’s stay in the Serbian capital is part of his three-day tour of the Balkans, which he commenced by visiting Sarajevo. His trip will conclude on Sept. 8 with a visit to Croatia, where he will meet with top-level state officials and inaugurate the Islamic Cultural Center and mosque in the city of Sisak.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan’s tour is expected to further Turkey’s existing good political and economic cooperation with the countries of the region.
