A member of parliament from the Serbian Progressive Party, Vladimir Djukanovic, stated on Aug. 24 that all those who finance non-government organizations and support, in his words, green-left extremists, should be banned from entering Serbia.
Djukanovic told BETA that he was pleased that the former Montenegrin deputy prime minister, Jovana Marovic, had been denied entry into Serbia, and that the member of the European Parliament, Viola von Cramon, should also be banned.
“The decision to deny entry to the former Montenegrin minister was absolutely correct. Anyone who supports the green-left extremists in Serbia like Viola von Cramon, or campaigns for Kosovo’s independence and undermines this state by financing various non-government organizations which create chaos, should be banned from entering Serbia,” Djukanovic said.
The former Montenegrin deputy prime minister and minister for European affairs, Jovana Marovic, was denied entry into Serbia at the Belgrade airport on Aug. 23. She was held at the airport, had to surrender her passport for that period, and was subsequently sent back to Montenegro.
