Postal traffic in Serbia has been normalized throughout the country as of Nov. 23, in keeping with the agreement reached earlier between the Serbian government and representatives of trade unions, stated the acting director of the Serbian Post, Zoran Djordjevic, during the Nov. 23 expanded collegium of this public enterprise.
Djordjevic stressed that clients should expect their shipments and utility bills in the shortest possible time. “Also on the agenda of the expanded collegium were measures for overcoming the consequences of this illegal strike of some of the employees, and the announced forming of a committee for establishing the value of damages,” reads the statement of the Post.
They also discussed the awarding of all the employees who were willing to additionally engage during the strike, who have thus contributed to the damages being lower. Djordjevic announced that, in the forthcoming period, emphasis would be laid on the further improvement of the quality of services provided by the Serbian Post and on offering new services to legal and private entities.
