Having the Dec. 17 elections voided on grounds of fraud is not something political parties can accomplish on their own – they need the support of the wider public, said Democratic Party president Zoran Lutovac on Jan. 18.
Speaking for the latest edition of the NIN weekly, Lutovac insisted that society must unite in the fight for normalcy and that the people must demand back the sovereignty they have been stripped of.
“The fight for defending the [public’s] electoral will must be joined by the academic community, young people, farmers, educators, healthcare workers and all other workers. To form a wide social movement for the creation of a country governed by rules, and a society governed by justice,” the opposition leader concluded.
