Outgoing Kosovo Premier Ramush Haradinaj has said he has had “bigger worries” than combating corruption as he has been dealing with the issue of border change “which has brought the country to the verge of a state of emergency,” portal KoSSev has reported.

“A premier who has to safeguard the country’s territory cannot be addressing internal affairs, such as combating corruption,” Haradinaj told Pristina TV T7 in the evening on Aug. 19.

Haradinaj added he was planning to deal with internal issues once assured that the idea of border change issue was buried.

He described cooperation with the Democratic Party of Kosovo led by Kadri Veseli as a bad experience.

Haradinaj said that the Democratic Party of Kosovo had been sabotaging him regarding “the most important national issues,” adding he no longer wished to cooperate with the party of Veseli, the Kosovo assembly speaker.
