Serbian FM on Two-Day Visit to Lebanon

Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovic is paying an official two-day visit to Lebanon on Aug. 17 and 18, according to a release from his ministry.

Selakovic will donate 40,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccines to Lebanon on behalf of Serbia. The Lebanese deputy prime minister and the minister of national defense, foreign affairs and emigrants, Zeina Akar, will welcome the vaccine donation at the Beirut Airport.

During his stay in Beirut, Selakovic will have separate meetings with Lebanese President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Hassan Diab, parliament speaker Nabih Berri, and Zeina Akar.

During the two-day visit, Selakovic is also scheduled to talk with the commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Joseph Aoun, and the head of Mission and Force Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), Major General Stefano Del Col, and will tour the Serbian Army personnel participating in the mission.
