The next meeting of the chief negotiators of Serbia and Kosovo, Petar Petkovic and Besnik Bislimi, will be held on Nov. 16, EU spokesman Peter Stano has said.

"They will meet in Brussels and continue to discuss applying the previous agreements, open issues and how to move forward," Stano told Radio Free Europe.

Petkovic and Bislimi last met as part of the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo at the end of September, when an agreement was reached to deescalate the situation in northern Kosovo after the Pristina government decided to apply its policy of reciprocity on license plates on vehicles from Serbia proper.

Although there is no indication that a meeting of leaders (Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Premier Albin Kurti) will happen anytime soon, Peter Stano insists that the dialogue has not reached a stalemate. "We are focused on achieving results and solving problems through hard work. The dialogue is not stagnating and is continuing through the daily engagements and the operations of EU special envoy Miroslav Lajcak, not only with the two sides but inside of the EU, in the wider region and on the international scene," Stano said.
