Electoral silence ahead of local elections begins at midnight, on May 30 and will last until polling stations close at 8 p.m. on June 2.

During this time candidates and party programs cannot be presented at rallies nor in the media nor can voters be called on to vote for a certain party. Publicizing estimates of the results of elections is also prohibited. Serbian parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic scheduled elections at the end of April for June 2 in 66 local self-administrations, on the same day as elections for the Belgrade city assembly as well as city districts.

Elections are being held in Valjevo, Vrsac, Zrenjanin, Jagodina, Kikinda, Nis, Novi Sad, Pancevo, Pozarevac, Sombor, Sremska Mitrovica, Subotica, Uzice and Cacak.

Votes to elect 52 municipal assemblies will also be held along with elections for aldermen in 17 Belgrade districts, while elections will also be held for five districts in Nis.
