Borko Stefanovic, a deputy president of the Freedom and Justice Party, said during an international conference on the future of the EU and the Balkans, held in Athens, on June 21, that “there will be no stable nor safe Europe without a free and democratic Balkans and Serbia as the key state in the region.”
Stefanovic said that “the greatest threats to the EU are hypocrisy and support for people like (Serbian President Aleksandar) Vucic, in exchange for financial gain and, quite often, corruption, too,” the Freedom and Justice Party quoted the party official as saying.
“We simply do not want to be anyone’s slaves and put up with the Serbian Progressive Party’s corruption, violence and hatred, because, supposedly, Vucic could turn Serbia to the West. No, he will not,” Stefanovic said, adding that “in the European Union, election rigging, pre-arranged tenders and putting an entire state on sale through corrupt deals made behind the closed doors to Vucic’s office – do not exist.”
Stefanovic also said that “there is no more time to wait for the last European clerk to realize that Vucic is an autocrat, and part of a regime linked to organized crime.”
