The opposition is becoming increasingly violent and is organizing unregistered rallies daily –blockading state institutions often for reasons unclear even to them, Interior Minister Ivica Dacic stated on Nov. 28.
“These are now drills [designed] to sustain tensions, for I haven’t heard a single logical [explanation] for today’s blockade of the Novi Sad Courthouse and Prosecutor’s Office,” Dacic told Pink TV.
According to him, “the opposition’s threats and violent statements” demonstrate a lack of political program. They “know neither what they’re doing nor what they want,” he said.
“There are big problems in [the opposition’s] leadership. Their violence shows who the greater leader is. Also, there is significant distrust among them. All these are reasons why they are resorting to violent methods of expressing their dissatisfaction, rather than [promoting] meaningful political programs and ideas,” the minister concluded.
