Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Dec. 3 he was looking at a difficult day in Brussels, where he was set to meet with all newly appointed European Union (EU) officials.
“Today, I will have a difficult day in Brussels where I will have talks with all newly appointed officials of the EU Commission. I wanted to stay here this morning for the opening of the summit, even if I do not get to meet with all of them,” Vucic said in his address at a conference titled “Serbia - Africa: Diplomacy.”
He told reporters that in Brussels, he should meet, among others, with Kaja Kallas, the EU high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, and European Council President Antonio Costa.
Vucic will be present at a dinner hosted by Costa, which will also be attended by Albin Kurti, the premier of the Pristina provisional institutions, and other officials. Vucic is also to meet with Miroslav Lajcak, the EU special representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos, and “all newly appointed officials responsible for the EU enlargement process.”
Vucic added he was hoping to have meetings also with the Americans, if possible at some point during the day, as he was scheduled to travel to Zurich in the evening on Dec. 3.
